Free maps from OpenFreeMap

Today I stumbled upon OpenFreeMap. The goal of this project: to offer free, production-ready map tiles using already available methods.

The developer uses all kinds of open-source resources to offer something that is commercially usable and resembles Google Maps. It is comparable in terms of implementation, but it does NOT provide:

• search or geocoding
• route calculations and navigation
• static map images
• raster images
• satellite images
• elevation data
• custom map tiles or hosting datasets

But… do you want to show a map of where your company is located, or do you want to show where your branch locations are? Then it is a great solution. The implementation is very simple, but more importantly: it is completely open-source. So no more hassle with API keys.
